A Japanese ink art & shiatsu retreat hosted at Hill’n’dale farm cottages and facilitated by renown Japanese calligrapher & artist Junko Azukawa

Set amongst the mountain ash forest, this retreat will get your creativity flowing, inspired by nature and supported by shiatsu bodywork.

This full day retreat includes all art materials and ink art facilitation, introductory private shiatsu massage treatment to support your creative flow, and wholesome organic tea & lunch. Full day retreat cost $185/person, for bookings go to:

Mushroom log & garden bed workshop

This special family friendly collaboration with King Oyster Mushroom will bring together mushroom growing in a deliciously practical day.

The workshop will include:

  • Basic introduction to mycelium, mushroom log growing & preparing mushroom garden beds

  • Using hazelnut & mountain ash logs from the property, you will make your own shiitake mushroom log to take home. The process involves drilling holes into the logs, inserting small dowels inoculated with mushroom spawn and sealing the holes with beeswax. They will be ready to fruit next autumn/spring. The logs will provide amazing mushrooms for years to come with very little maintenance (just keep them out of the sun!)

  • Opportunity to wander around the 600 hazelnut tree grove and soak in the forest of mountain ash trees on the property

  • Organic herbal tea, coffee & scrumptious morning tea

This Circle is to be hosted at Hill’n’dale farm cottages and held by Melissa insta @drumsofthemelissae.

Making your own drum is a profound journey of insight, healing and transformation.

Held over two full days in circle on the property. You will be given the opportunity to gain insight into your own birth story and how you bring creations through into the world.

Weaving your own unique and personal medicine into a sacred tool, connecting to your own heart and rhythm.. and the heart of the Earth.

These drums will be made using Kangaroo Hide and 15" Hoop Pine frames.

These are intimate groups so places are limited.

An in depth day of qigong practice, body opening exercises and a light lunch at the farm. The day will be facilitated by Paul McIntyre, the resident instructor at Heaven Man Earth Internal Arts International - Melbourne branch school.

All levels of experience welcome - whether you are seeking to learn a simple daily practice or to deepen an existing practice incorporating breath and body cultivation, this day will be of benefit to you.
